The Chicago Center for the Listening Arts was formed to bring spiritual practices to those who feel a call to go more deeply into their spiritual life. This is the place to ask the big questions through practices such as the creative arts and Spiritual Direction.
Is it possible to get closer to God? Is God really present in daily life? I’ve been hurt by the Church – is that all there is to my relationship with God? We don’t have the answers to these questions, but we have experience walking with many people as they explore these issues and discover their call to wholeness.
What We Offer
We invite you to slow down and reflect with a trained Spiritual Director. There are many ways to explore these questions, from individual Spiritual Direction to Group Spiritual Direction, to Art Retreats and more.
Who We Are
Our Spiritual Directors have all been in Christian ministry for many years, and are trained and certified. Each Director sees people from many different backgrounds and life circumstances. We provide a safe space for deep listening and gentle questions to help you go deeper into the mystery of your relationship with God.
What Is Spiritual Direction?
At its core, Spiritual Direction is a process and method of listening – listening to how God is moving in a person’s life and listening for the “still, small voice.”
